              Nowadays, all farmers are focused on organic farming. In simple words, Organic farming have organic origin. Organic origin contains green manure, compost manure etc. That means except harmful chemicals like pesticides, herbicides, insecticides etc. So, in this article let's know about- What is organic farming?             Organic farming were produced in the early 1900s. Sir Albert Howard, F. H. King, Rudolf Steiner developed the concept of organic farming. People's who believed on animal manures, or system based on pest control also developed organic farming concept. In 1940s Robert published Organic Gardening and Farming Magazine. The scope of organic farming was stimulated in 1960s when Silent Spring is published by Rachel Carson. Rachel Carson discovered the damage of insecticides. After that the flow of organic farming increases rapidly.

          There are four principles of Organic farming. 

1) Organic farming increases the health of plant, animala, human and soil etc. We know that, healthy soil produces healthy plants and that are also healthy for human and animals life. 

2) Organic farming is based on living ecological proces. This farming attained ecological balance. 

3) Organic farming is also depends upon Fairness which is characterized by equity, respect, and justice of  the whole world. 

4) Organic farming is based on caring and protect the health and wellbeing of future generations. Organic farming is a living and dynamic process which is responsible for internal and external scope and conditions.

            Organic farming contains growing crops or plants without synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. There is no any other genetically modified organisms. That means only naturally occurring materials are used in organic farming. There is care of health of soil ecosystem and people's. There is no side effects on living organisms. Synthetic materials are not required for organic farming. 


               Crop production and animal rearing are included in organic farming in India. In this method, biological substances are used for avoiding the harmful chemicals. Biological materials maintains soil fertility and ecological balance. They also minimize the waste and pollution. That means in simple word, the organic farming is a method which contains the cultivation of crops and rearing of animals.

8) It has higher scope for decreasing all forms of pollutants. 

9) It reduces toxic materials to human, and environment. 

10) Low adverse effects than other non-farming.
