Agronomy

In simple word, Agronomy is the applied science of crop and plant manufacturing for food, fiber, and energy etc.  Agronomy is one of the important disciplines of Agriculture and occupied  many other disciplines such as Crop physiology, Biochemistry, Plant Ecology, Soil science, Agricultural Chemistry, and Economics etc.    In this article we will look about the relationship of Agronomy with soil, Botany, Chemistry that means in simple word relationship of Agronomy with other sciences.

1) Crop physiology is the study of primary life methods and various kinds of the plants on the basis to understand their nutrient and other input needed.

2) Various biochemical changes takes place in a plant’s body, and biochemistry shown to be an necessary equipment to study the way in that they take place and the crucial requirements to make easier these processes.

3) Plant ecology is the learning of the environment surrounding the crops and supports us in studying the aspects of various weather situation, for example- Temperature and Rainfall, on the crops.

4) Soil Science provides the agronomist with equipments to study the Physical, Chemical and Biological qualities of soil thoroughly in order to easier the amendment of the soil environment.

5) On the supports of agricultural chemistry, the agronomists study the chemical compositions and the connected changes produces during the steps of production, Protection, and Utilization of crops and farm animals.

6) The Economics supports in controlling the profit and loss study in crop yield and livestock management.

What are Responsibilities of Agronomist:-

Relation of agronomy with other sciences

An Agronomist agreement with investigating the problems connected to crop yield and thereby proposing or execute proper practices for good production of crops and effective management of soil, in order to develops both the profit and the yield also .

1)  Agronomists activate towards growing yield by using the primary knowledge of Science, with low expensive.

2) If we discuss in a brodly concept then agronomists are people who focus towards creating food and fiber, in order to meet the scope of the ever-developing population.

3) Agronomists come up with desirable and possible process of field preparation for various seasons and the respective crop development, for example- Flatbeds, Ridges, and Furrows.

4) He also choiced a proper variety of crops that would go well with the ongoing season at that specific period and for a specific type of soil.

5) The highly effective process of cultivation broadcasting, transplantation, or dibbling etc. that would support in better crop establishment is also choices by the agronomists.

6) The nutrient needed for the crops, containing the period at which they are needed and the process of benefits that is to be used, is learned by the agronomist itself.

7) Agronomists must selects the goof weed management process. Either using mechanical means or using physical labour or by chemical processes such as Herbicides or Weedicides, or by cultural means.

8) Presently, coordinate weed management technique plays an necessary role in weed management.

9) Selecting the desirable irrigation process, sprinkling timing, and quantity as per the crops to be irrigated, whether to irrigate in one go or take separate in between and the quantity of water to be applied are determined by agronomy science so as to use water effectively.

Agronomy with technology

10) Particularly, crop sequence or may be known as crop planning is also definite by agronomists. They decide the kind of crop, the design of cropping, the sequence of cropping, etc.

11) Agronomists are also reasonable for planning the harvesting period, harvesting process, etc., so as to reduce the loss of yield.

12) And At the last one is-  Agronomists are responsible for each and every decision connected to the farm and also management of the farm.

All above points are about the relationship of Agronomy with soil, Botany, Chemistry or with other sciences.
